Daryl Matheny, PGA and General Manager

Daryl Matheny, General Manager at Gold Mountain Golf Club, began his tenure in 1988. A longtime Bremerton resident, Daryl knows well the challenges and joys of Washington golf. He expertly leads his team to ensure Gold Mountain Golf Club continues to stand as a leader in Pacific Northwest golf. In 1992 Daryl received his Class A status with the PGA of America and holds several additional PGA of America teaching and golf fitting certifications.

One of Daryl’s favorite aspects about golf at Gold Mountain is having the diversity of the two courses — Cascade and Olympic — allowing visitors and all members of the community to come experience the beauty of golf in the Pacific Northwest.

Daryl still enjoys teaching whenever possible, and of his teaching tips a favorite is showing the recreational weekend golfer how to analyze their chip shot and know which of the clubs in their bag to utilize and not just to reach for the PW or SW clubs.

Whenever he isn’t golfing or leading the charge at the club, Daryl can be found spending time with his family — wife Tammee and three teenage children — and enjoying the beauty outdoors in the Pacific Northwest.
