Wedding season has arrived at Gold Mountain and love is in the air!

This year is shaping up to be our busiest wedding season ever, but we do still have a few dates available for those last-minute wedding shoppers and lots of room in our 2019 season.

We have two great events approaching that give that bride and groom-to-be an amazing opportunity to visit us.

The first being out Bridal Brunch on Sunday, April 29.

This brunch will give brides, and grooms, the opportunity to show off their venue to family and friends, wedding party, and photographers before their big day.

It is also a wonderful opportunity to tour the venue for the first time.

The food will be amazing, the venue will look spectacular, and we will be offering a golf discount so if your hubby-to-be and other men want to hit the course they can!

We have event information and ticket options available online, get yours before the event fills.

The second event coming up is the Kitsap Wedding Tour on Sunday, May 20 from 1pm to 5pm.

The Kitsap Wedding Tour is an amazing opportunity to tour multiple venues in the same day without an appointment.

There will be some of the best vendors of the region at each location, not to mention tasty treats along the way.

This is the best way to tour because all of the venues will be set up as a wedding, so you can really envision your special day.

Gold Mountain will also have appetizers, sparkling wine, and cake of course!

We can’t wait to see you!

Wedding season is just around the corner and Gold Mountain will soon be bustling with the excitement of celebrating that magic moment shared between soul mates.

Gold Mountain has so much to offer today’s bride and groom, with many different venue options to suit any palate.

Our Wedding in the woods has quickly become an extremely sought after location.

It is a hidden gem for both locals and visitors alike.

Nestled in the trees just off of the first tee you get all the comforts of being right next to your reception space, yet you feel like you are away from it all.

The great Pacific Northwest feel and quite beauty offers something unique to our guests that can’t be denied.

With wedding expos quickly approaching we are going to be offering a discount to all of our couples who book this amazing location from those shows.

You can find us on January 7th and 8th at the Tacoma Wedding Expo, February 18th at the Kitsap wedding Expo, and March 19th at the Kitsap Wedding Tour.

We are always available to give private tours of the property as well.

Come visit our inviting staff and take a peek at the newest local wedding attraction.

We are excited to share our space with you.

Pair your creative mind with our Wedding in the Woods venue, and rock a rustic natural wedding full of woodland touches.

This month we are featuring one of our favorite 2016 couples.

Josh and Alycia come from amazing families who shared in this once in a lifetime experience.

And now for the details: they were married in our new venue full of woodland touches and ambient lighting.

It included their own personal touch, a beautifully crafted cross.

The added the touch of acoustic instruments for part of their wedding music, was perfect.

Standing beneath the beauty of the enormous fir trees which open beautifully above, they shared their vows with overwhelming emotion and love.

After the exchange of vows, guests were escorted back in golf carts to our rustic Olympic room for a night to remember.

Our Wedding in the Woods venue can hold up to 250 guests, and is situated amongst the firs just past the first tee of our Olympic course.

If you want to have a destination ceremony, paired with a bit more of a traditional ceremony with that perfect Pacific Northwest feel, Gold Mountain is surely the venue for you!

Our Olympic room seats up to 200 guests and has all of the amenities bride and grooms long for.

It’s bride and grooms like Josh and Alycia that make our job so fulfilling.

We look forward to hosting many more beautiful and creative destination weddings in 2017!

It’s been all sun all the time at Gold Mountain over the past month, and we certainly can’t complain.

Both the Olympic and Cascade Courses are in fantastic shape, and the level of play we are experiencing is proof that Gold Mountain is the place to play.

Weddings in the Woods at Gold Mountain

But on to business! Our two projects this summer were the Wedding in the Woods venue and the new tees on Cascade #5.

And speaking of Wedding in the Woods…

We’re thrilled to announce that the Wedding in the Woods venue has hosted its first wedding!

It’s a milestone we’ve been looking forward to for a long time, and now we’ve seen all of the hard work we’ve executed come to fruition.

Not only that, Weddings in the Woods are being booked fast, so if you’re in the hunt for a beautiful, comprehensive, secluded venue on the Olympic Peninsula, be sure to give us a look!

For more golf-related matters, the new tees on Cascade #5 were seeded recently and are growing in nicely if we do say so ourselves.  Stay tuned for them to be used for events starting in mid-September.

Our next major maintenance project will be aerating greens tees and fairways starting in September if the weather cooperates.

If August has been any indication, it’ll be smooth sailing indeed.

To forest nuptials and smooth greens!

Weddings in the Woods: coming to a Gold Mountain near you.

We’ve mentioned these in prior installments, but they’re so nice that we’ll talk about them twice. Gold Mountain has two new and exciting additions!

Our first is the outdoor wedding venue that we built off the first fairway of the Cascade Golf Course.

This venue can handle wedding parties of up to 300 and offers a beautiful woodsy setting. The location allows easy access for our wedding parties, but has the feel of being far away from it all. With towering firs, hemlocks and cedars along with the songs from many different types of birds this venue offers a truly natural setting for that special day.

The other addition is the new teeing area on the 5th hole of the Cascade Golf Course that will turn the par 4 into a par 5.

We have looked at several different holes on the Cascade Course over the years trying to get the par back to 72 and the 5th hole made the most sense.

We were able to add another 100 yards to the existing length, thus changing the par on the hole from 4 to 5.

The green on the 5th hole has long been considered one of the toughest on property, so by lengthening the hole and turning it into a par 5 it will only add to the holes already tough reputation.
